Arlington Heights, IL
This house was designed by a local architect and we were one of 3 contractors to bid on the project. The owners chose us because we were most thorough in our proposal and believed that we would be a good match to work with.
This 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath house was a French country inspired design with natural stone at the base on the front elevation and stucco above. On the two sides of the home and on the rear, the house is full brick. The back of the house has a nice brick patio area with brick walls and decorative limestone caps above the brick wall.
There is a second floor master suite with a nice sitting area. It also has a deck that opens out to the backyard. One of the distinguishing features of the house is the two story great room with coffered ceiling beams. The home also contains a two story stone fireplace in the family room and an exterior fireplace on the patio.
While in the middle of constructing the house, the owners opted to finish the basement as well which added a large entertaining area, a custom built bar, a spare bedroom and a home office. The home office has an interesting see-through fish tank bridging space between the office and the recreation room.
