Like many split-level homes, this kitchen and lower-level den no longer supported the way this growing family lived day to day. The kitchen felt closed off, dated, and lacked the space needed for cooking, gathering, and spending time together.
The goal was not simply to update finishes. The homeowners wanted a brighter, more functional space with a timeless feel that would better support everyday family life.
Working closely with our design team, the layout was reimagined to improve flow, increase usable space, and create stronger connections between rooms. A large central island now gives the family a natural place to gather, while the expanded dining area creates room for everyday meals, homework, and entertaining.
The remodeled lower-level den adds another comfortable living space for relaxing, hosting guests, or spending time together as a family.
Today, the kitchen truly feels like the heart of the home: warm, welcoming, and designed around how this family lives.
