Happy Anniversary to us! It is hard to believe it was 25 years ago that we opened our doors for business. In 1991, Patrick Finn took a leap of faith and started his own business, Patrick A. Finn, Ltd. His first job, a custom home in the southern suburbs, helped catapult Patrick into one of the premier home remodeling and kitchen & bath design and build firms in the northwest suburbs today.
Back in 1991, our first job, a custom home, was completed in the southern suburbs. Additional kitchen & bath remodeling projects, home additions, and more custom homes brought us to the Chicago neighborhoods of Hyde Park and Lincoln Park as well as the northern suburbs. We were lucky to work with architects who had wonderful kitchen and bath design ideas. One job in particular will always be a fond memory. Patrick was hired for a full historical renovation of a 100+ year old Victorian in the Hyde Park neighborhood.
By the mid 90’s, Patrick A. Finn, Ltd. had moved the remodeling business to the northwest suburbs. Here the business added to their portfolio with several spec homes and larger scale home additions and remodeling projects. We added to our staff both in the office and in the field.
Like many businesses, the economic downturn in 2008 hit us hard.
We took the opportunity to make some changes to our business. We added services to our company that had not been available before. We hired an Architectural Designer who now does kitchen design, bath design, and home remodeling. Further, we added an Interior Designer to our staff. Now our clients have professional assistance when it comes to designing their kitchens, baths, room additions, or full scale home remodeling. So, while there were some very difficult times, we persevered and remain strong.
Regardless of whether you are doing a 2nd story addition, a full scale home remodel, or planning on designing a new kitchen or bath, you have our word that we will work hard to provide you with true craftsmanship and flawless design. We have done so for the last 25 years and look forward to another wonderful 25 years. We extend our thanks to not only our clients but to all those we worked with over the years.
